Light tan brown leather officers 'Sam Browne' holster, as used in conjunction with the Webley MkVI revolver. It is maker marked 'Hobson & Sons London' and clearly dated 1916.
This example features a stitched belt loop to the rear, with a brass loop above for the attachment of a shoulder strap and a brass 'billet hook' to the side intended to prevent lateral movement.
The leather is in fair condition, with some minor scuffs and loss of surface leather in places. There is some flaking and cracking to the top of the lid and along the side, this would thankfully be largely hidden when displayed. There is some stitch loss to the belt loop in places, though it does not appear in jeopardy.
A fair, war dated example.
