A well used example of the parachute bag used by RAF & Commonwealth aircrew throughout the war.
This example has some damage as pictured to the corner in several places and a rip to the top. This damage could no doubt be repaired. the 'Flash' zip functions well and it retains all of the internal flaps and press studs. There is some overall grubbiness to the material, as is commonplace.
The top flap bears the name 'Ted Lay' along with a small service number in red ink.
Overall a nice example with some repair work needed.
