An unusual inert cut away No 221 time fuse for a 25 pound shell, dated 1941 complete with all parts including its nose cap.
The fuse comes apart into several pieces as pictured, yet has been fixed at the base to prevent further dismantling. This is presumably part of its inert criteria. Part of it has been cut to enable it to be used as a demonstration tool, exposing the firing pin to be shown when assembled.
The timer sections are marked with intervals, whilst the main body is stamped 'No. 221 I ACC /41'.
An interesting inert 25 pounder shell fuse, ideal for an artillery or ordnance display.
